She stated that the actor died while “surrounded by his loving family.”

He was the son of a lawyer and former actor John Delancy Gulager of Muskogee, Oklahoma. his mother was  Martha Schrimsher Gulag and Will Rogers’ mother, Mary Schrimsher, is a sister of  Martha Schrimsher Gulager, so the two are first cousins.
