Pete Arredondo is district’s police chief officer working in Texas, United States. Arredondo has become in a news headlines because of incident on May 24, 2022, mass shooting which was occurred at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, United States, where nineteen students and two teachers were fatally shot, and seventeen others were wounded by 18 year old Salvador Ramos which operation was leaded by him along with other police officers to stop the shooter.

Arredondo who was police chief accused of botching the response to the fatal shooting of 19 school children and two teachers in Uvalde, Texas, has been sacked from his post.
After a nearly 90 minutes termination hearing held behind closed doors in Wednesday evening, the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District’s board voted unanimously to terminate his contract effective immediately. They also found there was good cause for him not to receive payment for time he was on unpaid administrative leave since July 19.
As Wednesday evening’s meeting began, some in audience shouted: “Coward!” to Pete Arredondo.
The School pupil Caitlin Gonzalez, who survived from the shooting, said her message for Arredondo was: “Turn in your badge and step down.”
Pete’s termination hearing was originally scheduled to take place a month ago, but that hearing was canceled at the request of Pete Arredondo’s lawyer, who told the district the police chief was entitled to due process. He was also not present for Wednesday’s meeting, saying he was concerned over his own safety, but his lawyer released statement in response to the termination hearing.
The families members of 21 victims was in mass shooting at Robb Elementary School have been demanding Arredondo be fired since news first broke in late May that police chief was in charge of law enforcement response during shooting.

Arredondo has gained high school diploma from reputed college. After that he went for the job of the police officer. He hadn’t studied after his completion +2 level.

Arredondo, who was Uvalde native, was hired as the school district’s police chief in 2020. Arredondo also worked at the Webb County Sheriff’s office in South Texas.
The San Antonio News reported that he was demoted from high ranking position in 2014 because he had difficulty getting along with others in the police department because he was not much friendly with his colleagues friends.
