Carson Senfield, a 2021 graduate of Orchard Park High School, was slain early Saturday morning in Tampa, Fla. Senfield was a student at the University of Tampa. The administrator of Orchard Park Schools, David Lilleck, revealed that Senfield was slain by a driver who said he feared for his life. According to WTSP, Tampa police say the student exited an Uber.

He and several students tried to enter the vehicle of another person parked nearby. “The driver, who did not know the individual or why he was forcing his way into his vehicle, shot the man, injuring him in the upper torso,” police noted in the press release.

“The driver said he feared for his life.” The superintendent stated Saturday was Senfield’s 19th birthday. The Orchard Park Central School District on Saturday delivered a letter announcing the loss of Senfield, who was a hockey player at the school and was widely known, according to acquaintances. The superintendent, David Lilleck, told 2 On Your Side that he has been in contact with the family concerning Senfield’s tragic death. The district is providing counselors for any pupils seeking aid.
