These developments happened only days after scores of Afghan women protested in Herat, seeking equal rights and representation in the country’s government after the Taliban seized power in the war-torn country.

According to Tolo News, protesters were waving banners with slogans condemning the Taliban’s exclusion of women from the country’s political system.
