Amrapali Gan “OF” venture, Joining to Becoming CEO and Moving On

Amrapali Gan, known as Ami, has been with OnlyF for several years before becoming CEO. She first joined the company in September 2020 as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.

In December 2021, Gan was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of OnlyF, replacing founder Tim Stokely. Stokely announced he was stepping down to “pursue new endeavors” and said Gan had a “deep passion” for the company.

In an Instagram post, Stokely wrote: “I’m passing the baton on to a colleague and a friend, who has the vision and drive to help the organization reach tremendous potential.”

Gan said she was “proud to assume this role” and looked forward to “continuing to work closely with our creator community.” She stated the firm offered a “unique experience” for creators and fans and was committed to being “the safest social media platform.”

In July 2023, after around two and a half years leading OnlyF, Gan announced she was leaving her CEO role. She will be succeeded by chief strategy and operations officer Keily Blair.

In a tweet, Gan wrote: “Spending nearly 3 years at OnlyF while it echoed throughout the cultural zeitgeist, has been beyond rewarding.”

She added that she is moving on to pursue new opportunities, including launching a fresh venture called Hoxton Projects.

Gan’s Tenure as CEO

During Gan’s time as CEO, OnlyF reached a milestone of paying out over $10 billion to creators. The company was also named one of TIME’s most influential companies in 2021.

Gan has over 15 years of marketing and communications experience. Before OnlyF, she held roles at companies like PepsiCo, Red Bull, and Quest Nutrition.

She joined OnlyF in 2020 following a stint as vice president of marketing and publicity at Lowell Herb Co., a cannabis company.

In the following years, Gan took on progressively senior marketing roles at companies experiencing hypergrowth, including Quest Nutrition, StyleSaint, My Fashion Database, and Red Bull Media House. During her tenure as Head of Brand Communications at Quest from 2014-2016, the company was named #2 on Inc. 5000’s list of the fastest-growing U.S. firms.

Gan leveraged her marketing leadership and cultural prowess to help propel startups in emerging spaces, most notably cannabis. As Vice President of Marketing and publicity for Cannabis Cafe and Director of Communications at Lowell Herb Co. in 2019-2020, she spearheaded marketing efforts for key players in the burgeoning cannabis industry.
