Schmitt was shot to death in a first-degree murder by her own husband in her sleep on March 8, 2018.

According to the investigation, on March 8 of 2018, Amanda Schmit was sleeping in her bed when her husband   John Grazioli shot her in the head and killed her. She was just 31 years old at the time of her death. As per the forensic department, her death was instinct as she was directly shot in the head while she was in her sleep.

The letter was found on the spot on which John has written “I killed Amanda Schmitt Grazioli” which indicates he was planning to kill her for a long time. Later it was revealed that he wanted to systematically remove her from his life just after their five months of marriage and asked her for divorce but we assume she refused, as a result, John Graziloi has to take the step of killing his wife by himself. However, the reason behind his asking for his divorce from Amanda is not revealed yet.

As of now, John Grazioli has been found guilty of the first-degree murder of his wife Amanda Schmit Grazioli, and currently, he is serving jail time in State Correctional Institution at Rockview, Pennsylvania as is sentenced to life without parole.
