Condé met with Moussa Dadis Camara, the President of the National Council for Democracy and Development (CNDD), on December 27, 2008, following Conté’s murder and the military takeover of December 23, 2008. Alpha declared the members of the CNDD junta to be “patriots” after the meeting.
