On Saturday night in the capital’s Jatrabari neighborhood, a 35-year-old man lost his life after allegedly being pushed off a moving bus by the helper. The incident occurred during a dispute over fares.

Abu Sayem Murad, the late Hedayet Ullah’s son from the South Jatrabari area, was named as the deceased. He was employed by a Dhaka-buying house.

According to Ashraful Islam, a sub-inspector (SI) at the Jatrabari police station, the event happened at 6 o’clock in the Shaheed Faruk Sarak locality.

Sayem boarded the bus near the Motijheel region, according to Abu Sadat Sahid, the victim’s elder brother.

He asserted that Sayem and the bus attendant got into a fight about the fare. He stated that the accused had shoved Sayem off the moving bus in a fit of rage, which had then run over and killed him.

The bus driver, Shah Alam, 40, and the helper, Mohon, 22, were beaten by angry locals who then turned them over to the police, according to the police officer. The locals also set the bus on fire.

SI Ashraful Islam stated that the deceased was put in a morgue at a hospital for an autopsy.
