Abdul Sattar Edhi wife, Bilquis Edhi lost her life at age of 74 after a prolonged battle with an illness. Edhi has been ill for a month.

As per the spokesperson of the Edhi Foundation, she had to be transferred to a private hospital three days after the pressure suddenly dropped drastically.

The spoke person also reported that she had congestive heart failure and had even undergone a heart bypass twice.  First Lady Tehmina Durrani even visited her during Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s first visit to the port city on Wednesday. 

Previously, Pakistan’s philanthropist and humanitarian great, Bilquis Edhi was declared the “Person of the Decade”, as well as human rights rapporteur of the UN Prof Yanghee Lee and the US’s Stephen Soldz.

Similarly, Bliquis Edhi’s husband, Abdul Sattar Edhi died almost six years ago. He passed away on 8 July 2016 at the ripe old age of 88. Sattar passed away as a result of full kidney failure after being placed on the ventilator. He was laid to rest at the Edhi Village in Karachi.
