She was the daughter of King Viserys I Targaryen, the fifth Targaryen King to sit on the Iron Throne as he ruled from 103 Ac to 129 Ac. her mother, Lady Aemma of House Arryn was her father’s first wife. She was the only living child of her father as she had two brothers who died in the cradle.

At the age of seven, Rhaenyra rode a baby dragon she named Syrax into the skies, transforming herself into a dragon rider. When she was eight years old, a year later, Rhaenyra started serving her father as a cupbearer at meals, competitions, and in court. Rhaenyra fell in love with Prince Daemon Targaryen, her uncle, at an early age. All of the Seven Kingdoms’ lords swore homage to Rhaenyra once her father declared her to be his successor, promising to respect and support her right to succeed.

At the age of 16, she was given the title of Princess of Dragonstone following the deaths of both of her brothers. She died in 130 at Dragonstone as her half-brother Aegon II had her fed to his own dragon.
