Emma Hernan’s family’s early life
In spite of her immense wealth in 2023, the 31-year-old woman experienced significant financial hardships during her childhood. Emma’s family, consisting of her mother Stephanie, and her father Tom, faced considerable financial difficulties when she was a young child.
Stephanie assumed the role of a stay-at-home mother, while Tom worked tirelessly as a firefighter. However, their income was insufficient to meet their financial obligations, and they found themselves struggling to make their mortgage payments. Their financial situation became so dire that they were forced to relinquish ownership of their house at one point.
However, the passing of Emma’s maternal grandfather brought about a significant change in their circumstances. This event had a profound impact on the lives of Emma’s parents, Thomas and Stephanie Hernan.
Presently residing in Norwell, Massachusetts, Thomas, and Stephanie have been married since 1989 and have remained devoted to one another throughout the years. Alongside their son Alex, they currently operate a business called Yankee Trader Seafood. The family’s entrepreneurial venture not only serves as a source of livelihood but also reflects their resilience and determination to overcome their previous financial struggles.

Stephanie Hernan was born on October 1964. As of the year 2023, she is on the verge of turning 59 years old. Stephanie is the proud daughter of Gerry McAdams, the founder of Yankee Trader Seafood.
Yankee Trader Seafood came into existence in 1994 when Stephanie’s father, Gerry McAdams, established the company. It quickly gained recognition and popularity, largely thanks to its trademark crab cakes. Unfortunately, Gerry McAdams passed away, and it was up to Stephanie and her sister Lisa to take over the reins and continue running the business.
Under the stewardship of Stephanie and Lisa, the sisters sought to expand the family business even further. They introduced a variety of delectable seafood dishes to the menu, such as scallops wrapped in bacon, crab Rangoon, fish cakes, and other mouthwatering seafood appetizers. Their efforts were met with success, and the Emma Hernan family business Yankee Trader Seafood thrived.
Fast forward to 2023, and Yankee Trader Seafood has become a major player in the seafood industry, generating annual revenues exceeding $20 million. This impressive financial success has brought great prosperity to Stephanie, Lisa, and their sibling Emma. They are now multimillionaires, having amassed significant wealth from their thriving business ventures. Additionally, Emma herself has achieved a personal net worth of $3 million, as reported by Heart.
While Lisa serves as Stephanie’s dedicated business partner, the other two siblings have chosen not to participate in the family enterprise. They have instead settled in different states, with one residing in Florida and the other in Indiana, pursuing their own individual paths outside of the family business.
