Eddy Quintela’s former wife Christine McVie, the lead singer of Fleetwood Mac, died at the age of 79.
Christine McVie was the lead vocalist for Fleetwood Mac, passed away, the group confirmed in a statement published today. The band’s most enduring hits, including Everywhere, Songbird, Say You Love Me, and Little Lies, were written by 79-year-old British-born McVie.
And McVie’s bandmate Stevie Nicks lamented the loss of her “best friend”, revealing that she had wanted to rush to McVie’s bedside to be with her but had been “told to wait.”
“We were so lucky to have a life with her. “Individually and together, we cherished Christine deeply and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. She will be so very missed.”

According to a different statement from McVie’s family, she passed away in a hospital while being attended by her loved ones. Although a cause of death has not yet been determined, the family confirmed that she passed away after a brief illness.
