Puneeth Rajkumar, a well-known Kannada actor, passed away on Friday morning after a huge heart attack. He was 46 years old at the time. Rajkumar worked out in his gym when he collapsed suddenly. The actor was taken to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru. 

Puneeth Rajkumar was admitted at 11.30 a.m. Friday, according to Dr. Ranganath Nayak of Bengaluru’s Vikram Hospital. Upon arriving at the hospital, he complained of chest pain and was unresponsive. 

According to his brother Raghavendra Rajkumar, his death rituals are expected to take place on Sunday.

Puneeth Rajkumar’s unexpected death shocked the country, with tributes flooding in from all directions. A slew of South icons, including Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, Lakshmi Manchu, R Madhavan, Dulquer Salmaan, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, were among those who expressed their sorrow. Puneeth’s followers recalled him as “one of the kindest and noblest” actors in the industry.
