Ross, a Twitch streamer who had been swatted, was briefly suspended from the site before being reinstated a few hours later. Ross may have been suspended from Twitch because the video violates community standards and demonstrates his involvement in “police action.”

He is shown in his living room as the SWAT team approaches from outside in the feed, which was broadcast on November 7 but was just published on his YouTube page. Ross phones his pal as soon as he hears the SWAT team outside to warn them that he is about to be swatted. He hangs up the phone with his friend and kneels down, wrapping his arms around his head.

Ross then talks to the camera and stream, asking “Why do you’ll do this people, bro? Why the f**k do you all swat people, why do you do this s**t? I hear my friends outside already being screamed at by cops, bro, why do you all do this bro?”.

Ross then rejects someone who asks whether it’s scripted, asks again “Why do people do this? ” and orders everyone else in his home to kneel with him in the living room. Ross is seen on the phone with a SWAT member and exiting the building while holding up his hands at the end of the video.

Temporarily Suspended

After the stream, Ross was temporarily suspended from Twitch before being reinstated. According to Dexerto, Ross became aware of the suspension and tweeted, “I truly got banned on twitch for being swatted,” before deleting the message, perhaps after being reinstated to the service.

Although neither Ross nor Twitch have provided an official explanation for why the streamer was briefly suspended from the service, it appears to have been a stopgap effort to have the incident’s video removed. Twitch may take down a video “in situations where a user has lost control of their broadcast due to severe injury, medical emergency, police action, or being targeted with serious violence”.
