Meet the Family of Missing Shahzada Dawood: Wife, Son and Daughter

Shahzada Dawood, a distinguished businessman, and philanthropist of Pakistani and British descent, found himself on an extraordinary expedition that would ultimately captivate the world’s attention. His resolute spirit and unwavering commitment to exploration led him to embark on an audacious mission to uncover the secrets concealed within the depths of the ocean.

Tragically, Shahzada Dawood found himself in a fateful situation that unfolded on the ill-fated day of June 18, 2023. He is one of the passengers aboard the Titan submersible, which disappeared in an attempt to reach the wreck of the Titanic.

Shahzada Dawood and his son are among the five missing passengers of the Titanic submarine

Shahzada Dawood, a 48-year-old business advisor, and his 19-year-old son Suleman were identified as passengers aboard the submersible. Accompanying them were French submersible pilot Paul-Henry Nargeolet, Stockton Rushton, the chief executive and founder of OceanGate Expeditions, and British billionaire Mr. Harding.

The submersible, described as being roughly the size of a minivan, embarked on a mission to explore the wreckage of the Titanic. However, approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes into its descent, the mothership lost contact with the submersible, which was carrying a total of five people.

Although the authorities have not officially released the names of those on board, it has been confirmed that British businessman Hamish Harding, Pakistani billionaire Shahzada Dawood, his son Sulaiman Dawood, and French diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet were among the passengers. Additionally, Stockton Rush, the CEO, and founder of OceanGate, was reported to be the fifth person on board, according to a source familiar with the mission plan. CNN’s request for comment from OceanGate went unanswered.

Hamish Harding, who is based in the United Arab Emirates and possesses a remarkable track record of participating in extreme expeditions, serves as the chairman of Action Aviation, an aircraft brokerage. The company confirmed Harding’s presence on the submersible through a social media statement.

The Coast Guard, in a brief statement shared on Twitter, revealed that some of the remote-operated vehicles involved in the search had been relocated in an effort to ascertain the source of certain sounds. Subsequently, a later statement posted on Twitter stated that “likely signs of life have been detected at the site.” The speaker further mentioned that the club was in the process of seeking approval to deploy a remote-operated vehicle capable of descending to depths of 6,000 meters (nearly 20,000 feet) in the search area.
