R’Bonney Gabriel’s Parents and Brother
R’Bonney Gabriel, born on March 20, 1994, in Houston, Texas, was the eldest of four siblings. She spent her childhood in a close-knit family where she was surrounded by love and support from her parents Remigio Bonzon Gabriel and Dana Walker, and her three brothers.
Her father is from the Philippines, while her mother is from Beaumont, Texas. Growing up in Houston, R’Bonney was exposed to a diverse community with a rich cultural heritage.
Her father, R’Bon “Bon” Gabriel, was born in Manila, Philippines and at the age of 19, he decided to immigrate to the United States, specifically to Washington. He went on to pursue higher education, earning a doctorate degree in psychology from the University of Houston.


Growing up with her siblings, R’Bonney formed a strong bond with them. Together, they enjoyed playing sports, shooting BB guns, and playing video games. They also shared a love for traveling and exploring new places.
R’Bonney’s parents played a vital role in her upbringing and development. Her father, Remigio, instilled in her a strong sense of discipline and hard work, while her mother, Dana, taught her the importance of compassion and kindness. R’Bonney Gabriel Paving the Way to Miss Texas USA
R’Bonney continued to compete in more pageants, and in 2021, she participated in Miss Texas USA as Miss Harris County. She finished as the first runner-up, which was a great achievement for her. Determined to win the title, R’Bonney entered the Miss Texas USA 2022 pageant as Miss Friendswood.
R’Bonney’s hard work and determination paid off when she was crowned Miss Texas USA 2022 by retiring queen Victoria Hinojosa. She became the first Asian-American to win the title, and less than a week later, fellow Asian-American Averie Bishop was crowned Miss Texas 2022.
R’Bonney’s victory in Miss Texas USA earned her the opportunity to compete in Miss USA 2022. She impressed the judges with her poise, beauty, and intelligence, and was ultimately crowned Miss USA 2022 by Elle Smith of Kentucky. R’Bonney’s crowning made her the first Miss USA of Filipino origin.
R’Bonney’s crowning as Miss USA 2022 opened up many opportunities for her. She will represent the United States in the Miss Universe 2022 pageant.
Which will take place on January 14, 2023, at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her victory in Miss USA has also earned her the title of Miss USA 2022. Which brings with it the opportunity to travel, make appearances, and represent the country in various events.
