“We are saddened by the verdict, and we do not encourage President Zuma to surrender to any prison,” he said.

Since 2007, Maphatosoe has served as the national chairperson of the now-defunct MKMVA. He was a former member of the South African Youth Congress, the Congress of South African Students, and the Soweto Youth Congress (SAYCO).
