His allegation has been reduced from second-degree r*pe, a felony, to contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a misdemeanor, according to reports.
According to reports, the pastor is not required to register as a sex offender under the terms of the deal. Judge Jeff Kelley has barred Greathouse from communicating with his ex-wife save in the case of their child.

“There were extenuating circumstances that would have been allowed to be brought by the defense that very likely could have resulted in a mistrial or even a not guilty [verdict] by jury nullification,” Coffee County District Attorney Tom Anderson stated on October 15. “Issues relating to custody/visitation,” Anderson added, “that the defense would contend are the impetus for reporting many years later.”

“I wish to help other people — other females — who have been through something similar,” Pereira, now a businesswoman and actor residing in Tennessee, said. “I think someone who doesn’t think they’re guilty is still potentially very dangerous,” she said of the preacher.
